CONTROLLER MAPPING

NOTE: LINEART NEEDED FOR ABOVE IMAGE

CONNECTING VIA WIRED USB MODE (use existing from XBGP0278-01, remove volume dial)

  1. Select “USB” on the 3 mode switch on bottom of controller.
  2. Using the included USB-C Cable, connect to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the other end to an available USB port on an Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S , Windows 10/11 PC, or other device with USB-A input compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere.
  3. If the controller is off, hold the Xbox button to turn on (surrounding LED ring will illuminate WHITE).

CONNECTING VIA WIRELESS MODE: 2.4 GHz

  1. Select “2.4Ghz” on the mode switch on bottom of controller.
  2. Insert wireless adapter into open USB-A Port of Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S , Windows 10/11 PC, or other device with USB-A input compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere.
  3. If the controller is off, hold the Xbox button (icon) to turn it on (surrounding LED ring will flash WHITE).
  4. 2.4 GHz should be paired to the Xbox Advantage Wireless by default. If it is not paired, please follow the instructions below to sync the controller to the adapter:
    • Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash WHITE rapidly).
    • Repeat this step using the SYNC button on the top of the 2.4GHz adapter.
    • Both controller and adapter will flash several times and then pair. Once successfully paired both LEDS on controller and adapter will be solid WHITE.

CONNECTING VIA WIRELESS MODE: BLUETOOTH

  1. Select “BT” on the mode switch on bottom of controller.

  2. If controller is off, press the Xbox button to turn on (surrounding LED ring illuminate BLUE).
  3. Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED ring will flash BLUE rapidly).
  4. Enter the Bluetooth settings on any device compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere. 
  5. Select “Xbox Advantage Wireless”. LED ring will turn solid BLUE once connected.
  6. NOTE: A previously paired device will automatically pair to the controller when powered on.

CHARGING CONTROLLER VIA USB (Illustration taken from PC OPS v3)

For best results, fully charge controller prior to first use.

  1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the USB-A end to an available USB port on an Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10/11 PC, or other device capable of providing charging via USB.
  2. When charging, the LED ring surrounding the Xbox button will flash AMBER. For uninterrupted gaming, switch to Wired mode to continue playing while charging.
  3. When fully charged the LED ring will be solid WHITE. If playing in Wired mode while charging, switch back to either Wireless mode and remove USB cable once charge is complete.
  4. When battery is low, the LED ring will flash RED.

ADVANCED GAMING BUTTONS PROGRAMMING (use existing from XBGP0278-01

  1. Press the PRO/MAP Button on the back of the controller for 3 seconds.
  2. The Xbox button LED ring will flash WHITE, signaling the controller is in assign mode.
  3. Press one button (A/B/X/Y/LT/RT/LB/RB/Left Stick Press/Right Stick Press/D-pad) you wish to assign to an Advanced Gaming Button.
  4. Then press the Advanced Gaming Button (AGR1/AGR2 or AGL1/AGL2) that you wish to perform selected button function. The Xbox button LED ring will turn solid WHITE, signaling the Advanced Gaming Button has been set. Repeat for the remaining Advanced Gaming Buttons.

NOTE: Advanced Gaming Button assignments will remain in memory after use.

RESETTING THE ADVANCED GAMING BUTTONS (use existing from XBGP0278-01

  1. Hold the PRO/MAP Button down for 2-3 seconds. The Xbox Button LED will slowly flash, signaling the controller is in assign mode.
  2. Press the previously assigned Advanced Gaming Button for 5 seconds, and the function will be cleared. (Please add in additional clock graphic with “5” seconds shown on right side image)

TACTICAL TRIGGER LOCK ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: Tactical trigger lock switch sets the physical trigger depth preferences, and preset profiles or digital trigger settings in GamerHQ app set the actuation or deadzone percentage for each trigger pull.

- PROFILE SETTINGS (update lineart to ADV WL by removing headset dial & charging receptors, adding 3-mode switch, also remove the “LED” blinking on outside of below right front image, we must show the Xbox button LED ring illuminate or flash, not the entire controller)

  1. Quick-tap the PRO/MAP button to cycle through 3 different The Xbox Advantage Wireless controller can store up to 3 profiles at a time locally. We have provided 3 profiles by default loaded on the controller. These can be modified to your own settings via the Gamer HQ app, and can be saved on your device:
    • STANDARD (PINK PROFILE COLOR)
      • Default button mapping
    • FPS (GREEN PROFILE COLOR)
      • AGL1 = A
      • AGL2 = Y
      • AGR1 = RSB
      • AGR2 = X
    • ACTION/RPG (BLUE PROFILE COLOR)
      • AGL1 = X
      • AGL2 = B
      • AGR1 = Y
      • AGR2 = A
  2. Each press of the PRO/MAP button will change to the next profile and then repeat the cycle: 1 → 2 → 3→
  3. The Xbox LED Ring will quickly flash 3 times in the corresponding profile color noted above to signal a profile has been changed and then return to the previous LED status.
  4. To clear the profiles or change the settings, please use the PowerA Gamer HQ app. The above 3 default settings will be saved as legacy settings: STANDARD / FPS / ACTION in the PowerA Gamer HQ app. The app can store hundreds of custom profile settings that can be pushed to the controller, but the controller can only store 3 at any given time as prioritized by color selection in the ‘Profiles’ section of the app.
