I put the two pieces of my Lightsaber together but now I can't get them apart?

This product uses the PowerA "Twist and Lock" mechanism for safety and security. To separate the pieces, please follow these instructions:

1. Hold onto the upper part of the handle (near the light ON/OFF switch) with your left hand.
2. With your right hand, put your thumb on the front of the rotating ring and wrap your forefinger around the back.
3. Gently pull down on the ring and rotate to the left.
4. With your left hand gently pull the blade away from the handle.

To reconnect, engage the secure "Twist and Lock" feature by pushing the two pieces together until you hear a click.
