PowerA is the first licensed controller for the Nintendo SwitchTM 2 with Hall Effect sensors. The Advantage Wired controller features Hall Effect sensor thumbsticks for reduced drift, two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons, a C Button for quick GameChat access, onboard audio controls with multiple EQ modes, and anti-friction rings. It comes with a 10 ft. USB-C® cable. Available in three designs: Black, Mario Time, and Mushroom Kingdom.
The Advantage Wireless Controller features Hall Effect sensors in the thumbsticks to minimize stick drift. It also has embedded anti-friction rings designed for precise control. It also features the dedicated Chat Button enabling quick access to GameChat features. Players can further customize their experience with motion controls, mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons, and a status LED indicator for real-time connectivity updates. Designed for extended play, the Advantage Wireless Controller offers up to 30 hours of battery life. Available in multiple three designs: Black, Mario and Friends and Pokémon Mega Evolutions.

The controller’s entire faceplate comes to life with five lighting modes and thousands of color combinations. With 24 different colors across four individual lighting zones, you can personalize your play. The controller can set up with two different lighting profiles.

- Place the Nintendo Switch™ 2 console in the dock and power it on.
- Connect the Controller to the dock using the included cable.
- The controller should automatically pair with the console, indicated by the player LEDs on the controller lighting up.
- (If applicable) If it does not automatically connect, try pressing the SYNC button on the controller once, then press any button to power it on again.
- Select “Controllers” on the HOME menu
- Select “Change Grip/Order
- Once on the pairing screen pictured, hold down the SYNC button on the controller for five to seven seconds. The player LEDS will cycle from left to right to indicate the controller is in pairing mode
- "Paired" appears when the controller connects.
- Press the A button to end the process.
WIRED CONTROLLERS
- Ensure the USB cable is properly connected to both the wired controller and the Nintendo Switch™ 2 dock.
- Confirm that the Nintendo Switch™ 2 is powered on and connected to an external display before connecting your wired controller.
- Confirm that your Nintendo Switch™ 2 has the latest System Update installed.
WIRELESS CONTROLLERS
- Confirm the battery is charged by connecting the controller to the console with the supplied USB-C® Cable.
- Confirm you are following the pairing process. The controller can only be paired to one Nintendo Switch™ system at a time.
- Use a paper clip to press the reset button on the back of the controller and reset the controller to factory settings.
Assigning Advanced Gaming Buttons
- Press and hold the program button for 2-3 seconds
on the back of the controller. The program LED will
indicator will flash, signaling the controller is in assign
mode. - Press 1 of the following buttons (A/B/X/Y/L/R/ZL/
ZR/D-pad) to reassign. - Then press the Advanced Gaming Button
(AGR or AGL) that you wish to assign. The Program LED
indicator will stop flashing, signaling that the Advanced Gaming Button has been set. - Repeat for the remaining Advanced Gaming Button.
NOTE: Advanced Gaming Button assignments
will remain in memory even after disconnected.
Resetting Advanced Gaming Buttons
- Hold the program button down for 2-3 seconds. The
LED Connection Indicator will slowly flash, signaling
the controller is in program mode. - Press and hold the Assign Program Button for 5
seconds to reset to no function.
PowerA™ Nintendo Switch™ wireless controller cannot power on or wake up the Nintendo Switch™ 2 console.
The C button will function the same as with Joy-Con™ 2 controllers, activating the mic on the console.
