What is Lumectra™?
Lumectra™ is PowerA's RGB lighting system, offering up to 24 vibrant colors and thousands of combinations. It's designed to personalize your controller with dynamic visual effects that match your mood or gameplay.
How many lighting modes are available?
Lumectra™ controllers feature up to six dynamic lighting modes, with a total of 18 unique variations across the product line.
What's the difference between Ghost RGB and Edge Lighting?
Ghost RGB Lighting hides the LEDs when not in use, giving the controller a clean, classic look. When activated, it lights up the full faceplate with vivid colors. Edge Lighting illuminates specific areas of the controller, offering a more focused glow with the same color and mode options.
How do I customize the RGB lights on my controller?
You can adjust the LEDs directly from the controller. For step-by-step instructions, check the Quick Start Guides (QSGs) and User Manuals—each Lumectra™ product box includes a QSG. You can also find both QSGs and full user manuals online at the PowerA Support Hub, where they are easy to search.
Is there an app I can use to customize the lights?

Xbox Controllers: You can control all Lumectra™ settings using the PowerA Gamer HQ App while the controller is connected via USB-C cable to an Xbox console or Windows 10/11 PC. Note: This is only compatible with PowerA Xbox Series X|S controllers.

OPS Controllers: The PowerA PC HQ App allows you to customize your LED lighting settings to match your preferences. Note: This app is only compatible with PowerA OPS & PowerA Battle Dragon controllers.

Nintendo Switch Controllers: Nintendo Switch controllers with Lumectra™ RGB lighting do not have a PowerA App. They are only able to be adjusted using the controller itself.

Is Lumectra™ lighting the same on PowerA Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ and PC controllers?
Lumectra™ functions comparably on various platforms and models; however, controls, modes, and operation can vary. Refer to your controller's user manual or PowerA Product Support for specific troubleshooting guidance for your product.
Can I adjust the lighting speed and direction?
Yes. You can fine-tune both the speed and direction of your RGB lighting effects to suit your style.
Are there preset profiles?
Most Lumectra™ controllers offer two customizable profiles, allowing you to save and switch between your favorite lighting setups instantly.
Will the lighting be visible in bright environments?
Light effects may be less visible in bright settings. For best results, use Lumectra™ lighting in moderate to low-light environments.
Does Lumectra™ lighting affect battery life?
Battery life can be affected by multiple variables, including brightness level, selected colors, and chosen modes.
How do I turn Lumectra™ Lighting off?
To turn the Lumectra™ lighting on or off, simply press the LEDS button one time. This action will either activate or deactivate the lighting effects on your controller. Your previously saved settings will remain unchanged, allowing you to easily switch the lighting on or off without losing your preferred configuration.
